Evaluation of Family Medicine program; University of Gezira as a Case study

Dr. Khalid, is a consultant family medicine physician and assistant professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Gezira Sudan, and since 2013 at Taibah University, Saudi Arabia. He graduated with clinical MD, Family Medicine from Norway in 2008 and his PhD from the University of Bergen, Norway in 2019. He is a clinician, family medicine educator and researcher. He participated in the establishment of family medicine in Sudan, and the development of the family medicine curriculum in many universities. He is the founder and was the director of the Gezira Family Medicine Project (GFMP) in 2010 which is an ongoing postgraduate diploma training program where hundreds of family physicians have been trained. His research area is the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the medical field, the principles of family medicine and the global family medicine training trends.
