Topic: Improving quality of primary care: The role of private practice

Dr. Grace completed her undergraduate medical training at the then Faculty of Medicine Makerere University. She then served a as a Medical Officer for a few years in the Ugandan health system before joining Family Medicine residency training at the University of Rochester, New York (USA). Following her certification by the American Board of Family Medicine, she returned to Uganda with a vision to set up an ambulatory 24hour efficient primary care clinic that would embrace the core Principles of Family Medicine. The private clinic, SAS, in the urban center of Kampala has served its clients for the last twenty one years. She is also a clinical preceptor/mentor for Family Medicine residents from the Department of Family Medicine, Makerere University.
